Chromitope Sodium (Sodium Chromate Cr 51 Injection USP) is a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical for intravenous administration. This agent provides radioactive chromium 51 in the form of sterile, nonpyrogenic aqueous solution of sodium chromate (Na₂ ⁵¹CrO₄). The solution also contains 6 mg/mL benzyl alcohol as a preservative and sodium chloride for isotonicity; the pH has been adjusted to 7.5–8.5 with hydrochloric acid or sodium bicarbonate.
